Discuss the challenges to morality presented by Dale Jamieson. Your answer should demonstrate a solid understanding of the issues presented in the text. Be as clear and detailed as you can.
Ans: current climate change and the political situation both are changing so due to the complexity it is very difficult to explain it. The first challenge is the climate change itself; coping with variable climate is complex itself. Society itself is not accosted to this type of change and also in shock due to rapid devastating changes and its impact on social, political and economic aspects spread up to the international order.
Now discussing the changes by non-human interference is merged in human -caused environmental changes. All of these effects lead to shift the earth system due to climate change. So the major atmospheric or ocean change will push us to accept the adaptation, where the adaptation will seem unrealistic/absurd.
the whole environmental aspect is complex and complicated and the solution like adaptation is close to difficult due to the moral and political changes are neglected due to selfishness. So climate change is a challenge to our moral conscious. it could not perceived the way it could be due to lack of moral clarity.
A paradigm of moral problem is an act that intentionally harms other individual; both the victim and the exploiter are identifiable where the individuals and the moral degrading act are closely related in time and space.
