In order to provide jobs for its citizens , the US government should look to provide entrepreurial opportunities to its people because when people work for themselves , two things happen , firstly it provides growth to the economy and secondly it creates a lot of jobs and for this to happen government needs to provide a stable environment under which the stability of currency and other rights are defended properly such that the citizens are assured and the partners in the market place are accountable to each other as this will create a circle of dependability which will raise the confidence of entrepreneurs and subsequently help in creating jobs in the near future.

Another thing that needs to be done and has been done by the current regime of president trump is trade protectionism as in this it will require economic controls either in the form of subsidies , tariffs and quotas and although import substitution policies are being discredit by economistsas it tends to weaken the economy as under this resources are spend on goods and services which could be bought cheaply from somewhere else but in the short term , this tends to be important and in current scenario, this is the need of the hour as this will allow the US economy to create jobs and slowly but surely this can be erased but for now trade protectionism is needed in US to create jobs.

Another way of creating jobs is to encourage students to take up technical training courses and also the science and math courses as there are too many vacancies in these areas but since a large no of students take up social sciences and arts, they aren't able to work in these areas and then foreigners need to be hired in order to fulfill the requirement, so the best solution could be to provide vocational training and short 3 year courses in maths and science so that people can take up these jobs and the problem of finding jobs for the unemployed and the need to hire foreigners could be solved with this.

So these are the few areas that the government could take up in order to build up a future where a lot of jobs are created for the american citizens.
