Since we are currently living in a worldwide pandemic, what do you think the world governments could have done to protect their citizens from this deadly virus?

Governments must act on pledges to prevent diseases in the first place ,and to ensure that people can obtain sevices to treat them .Governments have a role to protect the well-being of its people -most crucially and visibly during emergencies such as recent outbreak of the corona virus

GOVERNMENT HAVE TO TAKE THESE URGENT HEALTH RELATED MEASURES TO PROTECT AGAINST COVID 19

educate people regarding the importance of self isolation

MAKE THE COVID -19 TEST WIDELY AVAILABLE let people know what symptoms to watch out for and at what stage they should approach doctor .Scale up testing immediately .tests should be made free,whether they are conducted by private labs or by government

INSTITUTE MEASURES TO SLOW THE SPREAD OF CORONA VIRUS

In addition to providing fast diagnostic tests ,the government can promote social distancing which can slow the spread of virus .For instance,social distancing measures could mean that large gatherings ,such as sporting events and concerts would be canceled.In addition ,people could telecommute when possible,and schools could be closed .Although there is limited evidence for these measures historically ,there is some common sense behind them given that they would reduce social interaction and the chance for the virus to spread in a  community

PUBLIC HYGIENE

Government have to provide hand washing stations acrosscities,especially at railwaystations and bus stations

MOBILISE FRONTLINE WORKERS FOR EDUCATION

mobilise nurses and other health workers to create mass awareness about symptoms,spread and precautions

MORE PUBLIC EDUCATION

Launch widespread messaging regarding washing hands,logic of social/physical distance,not touching their mouth ,eyes,and nose without washing their hands
