1. What do you think about the concept of a living wage? Should it be implemented or not? Why?
2. What should the government do to address the current unemployment crisis?

Answer 1)Living wage-It is the necessary minimum income given to the workers to satisfy their basic needs. Basic needs include food, clothing and shelter. The ultimate motive of living wage is to make workers worthy to have decent standard of living and to protect from poverty. Living wage rate is adjustable according to increase in inflation.
Living wage must be implemented necessarily. The reason is that living wage proffer enhancement in wages to the lowest paid workers. Living wage increases the morale of workers and helpful in increasing productivity of labor. Moreover, they are helpful in mitigate the poverty.
Answer 2) Now due to outbreak of covid 19 , recession prevail in the entire world and people face problem of unemployment . The reason is in recession, economic activities stop, output, employment reduces . at recession private investors become pessimistic because they lose their morale and confidence. Then role of government is essential . Government through fiscal policy can reduce the problem of unemployment. Government must follow expansionary fiscal policy and government must also do autonomous investment so production can take place and unemployment can reduce.
