Women have healthcare requirements in addition to those of men because of their biology and gender roles. Due to their gender roles, they are frequently responsible for the health and healthcare of others. The resources they need to care for others may create constraints on their ability to care for themselves.
Also, it is important to consider the workplace when considering women's health issues because the position of women in the workforce has great impact on the healthcare they receive. Many businesses have recognized the need to create a more diverse workforce by selective hiring based on the need to increase selected groups in their workforce. Some businesses have been more proactive than others. For example, let's consider that a business workforce's diversity plan includes the following benchmarks:
Maintain women's representation at a minimum of 60 percent.
Increase women's representation in nontraditional occupations from 16 percent to 20 percent.
Increase women's representation in senior positions (grade twelve and above or equivalent) from 28 percent to 35 percent.
On the basis of what you have learned so far, answer the following questions:

Could the above statements constitute discriminatory hiring practices? Why or why not?

1. Dimensions of diversity, such as age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion affect individual or collective healthcare needs and capabilities
Every indiviual is unique and so far based on age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion, their health needs are also differ.
Its the responsibilty of health care provider to provide health services to people which cater the indiviual personalized needs. If health care systems are planned without consideration of it, then the treatment of person will be affected in many ways..
2. Discrimanatory hiring practices should be there:
Hiring practices should also takes into consideration race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation.
So the people have a choices to decide which one they opt for according to indiviual differnces
Discrimanatory hiring practices should not be there:
It will create a bias in jobs. People with equal knowlege, qualification and skill, discrimination will occur.
3. Implications of diversity based policy develpoment in relation to health care needs

1. Gender-Health care provider having the knowledge of female and male body physiology and disease patterns and able to address them as in need.
2. Race: According to race, disease prevalence also differ. so taken into consideration this aspect Health provider will also deliver health care at its best.
3. Religion: Religion preactices will play major role in development of diseases. Health provider should focus on these aspects to promote and provide Safe Religion based practices in indiviuals for prevention of diseases.
