(b) Define the four components named and provide an example why each one is important in nursing and/or clinical practice. [6marks]
Evidence informed care provides the most effective care that is available in the health care facility with the aim of improving patients outcomes.

b ) 1 ) Clinical expertise: The knowledge, judgment & critical reasoning acquired through training & professional experience.
Expert opinion helps to avoid different & conflicting practices in health care workers. Eg : Tube feeding, if organization has written expert opinion regarding tube feeding helps all health workers to follow same steps & it ensures quality care.
2 ) evidence : The best available information gathered from the scientific literature ( external) & from data and observations collected on your individual client ( internal) .eg : CPR : Scientific evidences ensure safety in the patient care. Easy to handle emergency situations effectively . CPR saves life of human.
3 ) Clent / care giver perspectives: The unique set of Personal & cultural circumstances, values, priorities & expectations are identified.
Respect the beliefs, customs & values of patient. Eg : Kosher diet for Jewish.
4 ) Person centered Physician: Specific care for the client. Speciality in the health care system ensures strategic plan for health delivery. Assessment & implementation is faster . Eg : oncology specialist for cancer patients.
