Hippocrates, the Greek physician and father of modern medicine, who lived almost 2500 years ago, argued that the brain is the seat of emotions and it controlled everything, although it was difficult for people at that time, to support or believe in this theory. However, later on, his theory was proved by many researchers without giving any space for doubt. Through the brain, we understand everything and behave or respond accordingly. From madness to calmness, from happiness to sorrow, from humility to arrogance, from cheerfulness to sorrow, all opposing emotions come from the brain.
It is the seat of wisdom and what makes a person successful though many external factors influence a person’s brain development and functioning that leads to his success or failure. Our mathematical abilities, reasoning, multitasking, concept formation abilities, interaction skills, cognitive skills, etc are dependent on our brain. In people with foggy brains, these abilities are often found to be decreased or sometimes nil. So it is really important to keep the brain healthy and free of any unwanted disturbing thoughts, which definitely has an impact on our mental and physical functioning. The human brain is the most complicated object with millions of neurons, neural pathways, etc, which sends and receives signals from birth to death.
