Solutions

Expert Solution

Example of unethical CITI training program:
*Addressing informed consent issues-Participants have the right to be informed about the likely risks involved in the research and of potential consequeces for participants. When consent is not taken from the participant ,possible harm may not be explained and to the participants.Other area of research designed to investigate the effects of psychological or emotional stress. There is always the possibility that a subject may become seriously ill as aresult of stress.

*The case against consent-three main objections can be observed,
1.practical-there are contexts in which it is neither feasible nor desirable to obtain voluntary consent from the subjects.
eg-crowd at football match, watching drivers in moving cars.

2.methodological-here is a chance of alter the behaviour of subjects by researcher.

3.practical and methodological implications do not trump ethical ones, and if voluntary consent ought to be obtained because information is personal and private.
eg-public activities, role of government, criminal activity and criticism in public interest ,reliance on the consent of research participants may be morally wrong.
