Ans:- Adrenalectomy nursing care :

Pre operative care-once admitted in hospital, as a nurse need to remind what doctor said to the patient about procedure and in this case adrenalectomy should not take any medication prior to surgery.

-bowel preparation - make the patient to drink magnesium citrate as per and make on patient nill orally after midnight .

-advise the patient to drink o ly clear liquid 24hr prior to surgery.

-part preparation should be done if not done by patient themselves

-consent should be taken before surgery from the patient and attendants.

-removed jwellery and changed dress for ot.

Intraoperative - proper position of the patient

-and maintain patient stbility and alignment.

-gel pad is placed in beanbag to relieved the pressure from dependent hip and torso.

-after positioning of the patient spinal alignment should be done

Postoperative care-

Take and record vitals, measure intake and output charts.

-monitoring of electrolytes in frequent schedule

-administer medication like cortisol at the day of surgery to replace inadequate hormones level.

-assess body temperature and wound drainage.

-should do dressing bu using sterile technique and use septic technique to prevent risk of infection.
