When you think of a career in chemistry, you may visualize an older man with grey hair mixing chemicals in a laboratory with a lot of explosions. However, in today’s society there are many nontraditional careers for chemists. For example, chemists are employed as cooks, chemical safety officers, cosmetic chemists, forensic chemists, scientific writers, flavor chemists, medicinal chemists, and in the pharmaceutical and public health industries. 1. What is the nontraditional career in chemistry that you selected and why?
Ans: Scientific writers, since in this profession we have to write or check or correct the manuscripts written by other chemist.
2. What are the educational requirements and credentials needed for the career?
Ans: PhD Chemistry
3. What type of work environment would you expect to experience on a day-to-day basis for your chosen career?
Ans: We need a congenial atmosphere among the co-associates to get life smothly. We should share our knowledge among ourself.
4. How would you go about entering into this career field? What are some ways in which you could transition into this career field?
Ans: We can start our own bussiness of scientific writting or we can get hired by some other companies.
5. What skills are most needed for this career field?
Ans: Basic chemistry and general english are required.
6. What might be some of the challenges you would face within this career field?
Ans: Sometimes might get some manuscript from some chemist , which we are not aware. Since day by day lots of new areas in chemistry are evolving. Hence we need to get updated on chemistry reaearch fields.
