Part 1: Reflect on the scenario.
You are a registered nurse who works with wound care patients. J. S. is a 34 year-old woman who had a mastectomy six weeks ago. She developed a staph infection and the surgical site was debrided as part of the treatment.
You now care for J. S. at her home and photograph her wound. The photos are sent to the multidisciplinary care team at the wound center. The team makes changes in the treatment plan based on your assessment and photographs of the wound. A physician in a nearby state also has a weekly video conference with J. S. about the plan of care.
Part 2
Analyze the scenario. Write a one page paper.
Include responses to the following questions in your paper:
What concerns about using telehealth do you have for J. S.?
What potential liability or licensure concerns exist?
What privacy concerns potentially exist?
What limitations might telehealth have in this case?

Chapter 25, "Telehealth".
Telehealth with the support of telecommunication technologies uses various methods for providing health care services.it uses various tactics to deliver virtual health, medical and education services. Some of the modalites telehealth offers to its patients are live video interactions, remote patient monitoring, and mobile health.I am concerned for J.S mainly because she might feel uncomfortable with the video and missing interaction in person with the doctor. She might feel a bit awkward as she has been photographed and to send to some multidiscipliniary team whom she had not known before. The other thing i am worried about is the chances of incorrect diagnosis can also occur.if the picture which is sent is not clear it could affect the diagnosis.
Telemedicine is rapidly evolving as it promotes better health care and faster access to medical and reduce wait times.Telemedicines uses various communication technologies like video conference, digital photography, chat rather than meeting in person. Some of the liability concerns in this field are fraud and abuse, standard of care, incorrect diagnosis or treatment, malpractice complexities.
Patient confidentality is of paramount importance in health care sector. In telehealth services privacy concerns matters.Firstly device used for the services may need not be protected at all times.if a hacker tries to gain data of the patient by accessing to a patients computer ,all the data can be hacked out unless proper security devces are not used.Personal misidentification can occur if the data is sent to the wrong entity.
In this case since the patient has not seen the multidiscipliniary team before ,there remains a lack of trust between health care provider and patient.Their also exists an uncertainity of their medical consultation privacy.
