If anyone googles the term 'Technology' the first line that comes is ' the scientific knowledge and/or equipment that is needed for a particular industry, etc. '. Every industry of any kind requires a technology to work on , to improve itslef , be it be the industry of tools , metals which require technology over equipments and machines used , or industry of dumping garbages which require technology for collecting and making best use of garbage . Then, how come Education Industry be void of 'Technology' . If we move 2000 years ago , technology of showing signs to small babies to make them understand languages was used , later on technologies for learning weapons and how to use them efficiently were made . These technologies led to invention of practicing grounds , later on with time , education changed from weapons knwoledge to research knowledge , where again technology came up with schools/classrooms instead of arms and ammos practicing grounds.

Technology has always paid a huge huge role in learning and adapting both for us others. But now digitalised time has begun , and like other industries , eduction industry is also in search for more good technologies to make learning of students more easier and better so that they cope up with the upcoming challenges.

1. Research by the World Economic Forum estimates that 65% of children entering primary school will find themselves in occupations that today do not exist.
2. By 2020 it's estimated there will be 1.5 million new digitised jobs across the globe. At the same time, 90% of organisations currently have an IT skills shortage, while 75% of educators and students feel there is a gap in their ability to meet the skills needs of the IT workforce.

To prepare the talent needed for the digital economy, education must adapt as fast as the demand for IT skills is growing and evolving. It's clear that as we embark on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technology will play a central role in nearly all aspects of our lives and education the foremost.

Seeing such issues, some very important roles for technology in education includes:
1. Kids like to be interactive, and technology should be that much flexible that learning through it become a part of their lifestyle.
2. Kids know technology better than most adults. So why this technology should not be present in classrooms . If one is familiar and comfortbale in one format , learning becomes more easier if it also goes in that format only.
3. From years of experience it was concluded that kids learn at their own pace, but sometimes the traditional classroom makes it difficult to do so. With the integration of technology in education, children should have the ability to slow down and go back over lessons and concepts, and more advanced kids can go ahead. It also frees up the teacher to help kids on a more one-on-one level.
4. Having access to other information outside of the book gives students many different ways to learn a concept. Technology should change the learning environment so that learning is more hands-on. Schools throughout the nation are diverse in income, and often kids don’t always get the resources they need. This gap should be reducen by the implementation of technology in schools .
5. Technology should always enhance relationships between teachers and students. When teachers will be effectively integrated with technology into subject areas, it would help them grow into roles of adviser, content expert, and coach. Technology can help make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun.
6. Online Testing technology can be the way of the future, as it has a lot of advantages. Assessing students’ performance can be done instantly with technology. Beyond seeing test scores in real-time, teachers can better track and understand students’ grasp of the subject.
7. Computers, tablets, and other forms of technology bring multiple resources for the teacher that’s not in the book. They not only keep students engaged with exciting new features and apps, but also have other ways to teach students material. Every kid learns differently, and technology can surely help with this gap as well.
8. But its role should also include safety and integrity of students record. It should always be monitored from some experienced ones such as headmasters, parents so that no students take unfair advantages of technology. Getting dragged away is very easy in such age , hence it is the sole responsibility of technology that along with giving flexibility it should also be used in limited areas and not beyond that until a child is mature enough to understand new worldy things.

There can be more roles , more rules appointed but all with the main aim of improving education for present and out future.
