The cold war which followed post world war 2 , was arguably , an inevitable and almost cetain event , as historians believe aso. Both america and USSR were allies during the second world war , but the tension between the two nations grew , on account of fear of expanding powers of both nations, the political and social views being different, especially USSR propagating communist ideology and most importantly the decisions during the war which had severe impacts in respective nations post the war too.
Focusing the role of The US, during the war , america delayed the entry of the Russian soldier movement, This delay costed a loss for millions of soldiers . Further the clash in ideology dur to rise of commuism in USSR and a strong leadership of Stalin challenged american dominance which further fueled the americans to take steps , taking care of their self interests. Truman doctrine was one such initiative by the American govt, to protect the nations which were threatened by communism.Futher organisations such as NATO were formed as an initiative to check and control the power of USSR. The popular fight for Berlin lead to a military instability , with US claiming the western part of Berlin. kennedy's term is land mark to deteriorating relations between USSR and The US.
