The nursing process characterized as follows,
Cyclic and dynamic
Goal directed and client centered
Interpersonal and collaborative
Universally applicable
Systematic
1.Cyclic and Dynamic: It is continuous process takes place the stages of illness/disease, treatment given and finally curing of illness.
2. Goal directed and Client oriented: Process always intended to treat the patient and with the cooperation of the patient.
3. Interpersonal and Collaborative: This focuses mainly with the interaction that might be necessary between nurses, patients, medical team for better understanding of similar illnesses. This also can be like group therapy and family counselling.
4. Universally applicable: The process is universally standard and irrespective of the institutions, the process always be the same. Common nursing language with common nursing terminology followed universally.
5. Scientific and Systematic: Based on the objective of scientific format. Each and every symptom or sign is a result of a scientific fact which leads to scientific methods of treatment and follow-ups. It is systematic and step to step process as in the phases as above. It is based on a framework of set necessary parameters.
