Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder where involuntary muscles contract uncontrollably. Dystonia caused by trauma or post-traumatic dystonia usually occurs after trauma to the body part affected by dystonia. An example of this is foot dystonia developed after breaking or twisting of the ankle, which then develops into chronic dystonia. Blood occlusion is a condition, which has been linked to chronic neurological disorders like epilepsy. The relationship between trauma or blood occlusion with chronic epilepsy has been a subject of study for a long time.
