Health care system and physician network used an request for proposal (RFP) to select an enterprise patient information system..For creating RFP critical requirements would be multiple users in the same chart at the same time..since the hospital and physician would be sharing one electronic record RFP, requested multiple entity, capabilities,not specific what they want to accomplish.. software vendor had a much different multi entity..The staff in the hospital was not able to inquired and into a patient's record at the physician offices since the system maintained seperate patient data bases.. patient complaints about they had to give same information at the clinic and hospital on the same campus.. limit the concept in one so the vendor's responses will be meaningful..
