What are the differences between quality assuranceand quality improvement/management?
Quality is very important in all the types of products. Especially in health care settings, high quality services are very essential to improve the health conditions of patient . There are so many quality indicators such as skilled health care personnel rendering services to alleviate the disease of the patient by effective care and management.
Quality assurance indicates that a person promising to provide high quality services with effective management. In hospital settings, a committee of members will be available to ensure the quality of services being rendered to the patient. For example infection control committee takes measures to control the development and spread of infection by insisting the health care personnel to follow the standard universal precaution when giving care to the patient.
Quality improvement / management indicates that steps to be to improve the quality of health care services. Quality improvement committee will always check the standard of quality and takes several measures to upgrade the high quality services for the effective management
