Acetaldehyde to ethanol conversion is catalysed by alcohol dehydrogenase. In this reaction acetaldehyde reduces to ethanol and the hydrogen ion is taken up from NADH thus NADH oxidizes to NAD+ . In this process it also donates electrons to ethanol.
