The complexities of case management in the following areas
a) family Structure
Family structure plays an important role in getting adequate information about any history of the disease condition the is transmitted form the family hierarchy or not. Also need to check the health of all the family members for any disease present. For a joint family with a large number of members take more time to do a family case study as compared to a small family. So family structure matters in case management.
b) Dynamics
Frequent changes in the planning and interventions for case management leads to difficulties in evaluating the case for proper outcomes. So the more change in intervention the more difficult in doing the case management.
c) Communication
Communication is very important. While performing case management a nurse cannot do alone. there is a need for other health team members also. So the more communicating and cooperation, the easier of performing case management. Lack of communication may be evaluated or plan in the wrong way and cannot complete the case management. Communication with the patient and family member is also very important because the appropriate information will be get from them also.
d) Decision making
While case management decisions should be made by taking and discussing properly with the other health team members. If the decision is taken without the knowledge with other health team members then it will complex in managing the case. The decision of the patient or the family members also plays an important role because they can refuse the treatment process. This may interrupt in the treatment.
