Research is a time-consuming process.
There are different aspects of the research work. Designing a research topic, sample selection, collection of data, deciding on the mode of collection of data, performing economic analysis of data from different angles, interaction with the senior researchers, project guide, research planning, interpretation of analysis & results, documentation involves a lot of time.
The time required would be high if the research work involves field study, interviews with different people to account for different viewpoints, opinions, and insights.
A researcher needs to go through a lot of literary and already published work to gain insights into the framework that is unique and adds to the existing research already done on the given topic.
For completion of research work, one may require a few weeks to a few months. In some cases, it may take a year or two to complete the research work.
