When a person feels that there are too many higher expectations from others than their perceived roles leads to role strain.
Role conflict is result of the action of a person who tries to meet the demands of two or more roles .

Nurse managers engage in many activities like evaluating performance of nurses under her, moulding them to a good healthcare provider, helps them to improve and provide quality care, sometimes work with physicians in delivering higher level of care ,understand the difficulties of staff nurses, interview & recruit efficient workforce, and be an administrator. When she has different and many roles she should be calm and behave in a way which is favourable for everyone . She should work towards creating a positive environment and satisfy everyone starting from cleaning department , to physicians and higher professions in a hospital and team. She is the successor so the junior staff nurses will be following her way of handling strain and atress in a sportive manner.

Even though she tries to fulfill her roles and responsibilities she may be exhausted by her role which has higher expectations ..Her work is like having a thorn crown on her head but act it doesn't cause her any pain.
