What role does culture play in producing competitive or cooperative behavior in groups? Explain and provide examples.

The difference in the cultural norms in the group will result in different behavior on the group task. Cooperative behavior and competitive behavior of the individual depends on the cultural environment. Human beings will have different cultures , internalize social norms which promote others concerns in the fairness norms and morality, it will help to allow the group to survive and do the functions effectively. All the human beings wish to do the things right, it includes co-operating, accepting and working with others, But in some cases we will also see that social situation will form the powerful forces which makes it to difficult to corporate and easy to compete. It is the usual that culture which determines the competitiveness for example: In the football game bringing the football into the culture which is not aggressive and each individual players success makes them uneasy. Another example is America is hyper-competitive country due to their individualistic behavior in the society, which makes each individual obsessed with the competition. Like students are competing with each other in order to give the answers. Comparing this usually the collectivist countries are more cooperative.
