c) The half life of 99-Tc is 2.75 days.

So, the radiation due to the spill will get reduced to 3.15/2 = 1.57 in 2.75 days.

The exposure rate in the room will come back to normal level in 3 days.

So, the room must be quarantined for 3 days, and the ususal safety procedure has to be taken while using the room after this.

1.7 mR/hr is also a very high value.
