Type 1 diabetes mellitus is occuring due to destruction of the islets cells of Langerhans.

. This autoimmune disease on host can cause destruction of specific cells and structure in human body . The organ in type 1 diabetes is the destruction of islet cell of Langerhans which produces insulin in human body . Their destruction will lead to lack of insulin in human body and inability to produce insulin. This will lead to ketogenic disorders and fruity smelling breath . They need lifelong insulin therapy for the specific condition
