A person walks into a room that has, on opposite walls, two plane mirrors producing multiple images. Find the distances from the person to the first three images seen in the left-hand mirror, when the person is 11.0 ft from the mirror on the left wall and 14.0 ft from the mirror on the right wall.

second image | ft |
third image | ft |
A person enter into the room which have two plane mirrors. The person is standing at a dsiatnce 11 ft from the left mirror and 14 ft from the right mirror. Consider the person is facing the left mirror.
The first image of the person is formed at a distance 11 ft behind the left mirror. Thus, the distance of first image is 22 ft from the person.
The second image is formed by light reflecting from right mirror. The image formed by right mirror is 14.0 ft behind the mirror and it is 39 ft from left mirror. So the image formed on the left mirror due to this image is 39.0 ft behind the mirror. Hence, the distance of the second image is 50 ft from person.
The third image due to reflecting of the image (at 11 ft) formed in the left mirror. This image is behaved as a object for right mirror. So the image is formed in the right mirror is at a distance 36 ft behind the mirror. This reflecting image from right mirror form a image in the left mirror at a distance 61 ft behind the left mirror. Therefore, the thrid image is formed at a distance 72 ft from the person.
