In the earlier times, one man had to control all the business with the help of labour or servants. Business area was too small due to slow transport and lack of far connections. But today's business world becoming wider and wiser day by day. Now a business man can't rely only on labour. Business area becomes bigger than before and it needs intellect people more than before or more than one. So the business firm have to recruit well trained 'knowledge workers' for bigger area and requirements. Knowledge workers are very important for today's competitive business world.

2) data is raw form of information. If the information is not in specific manner. Data can be characters or number etc. On the other hand information is processed form of data so human can understand it. Information is useful and logical that formed by arrangement of data.

3) problem solving is earlier stage of decision making. It is analytical method to find the best solutions of problem.

And decision making is the process of pick and work on the best solution.

We can apply both on single problem because they are stages of solution.
