Knowledge has so many definitions. One of a definition is that, it is a theoretical and practical understanding or experiencing a subject. It also explains as what is learned, what is understand, what is aware or remember about, etc. Without attaining knowledge it is dificult for a human being to learn, communicate, etc.

Explicit knowledge is the basic form of knowledge and is easy to tranfer to others. Explicit knowledge is easily articulated, recorded, communicated, stored and managed. It is a structured format based. This type of knowledge is formalized and codified. This knowledge is mainly attained from documents, databases, structured and fixed contents, etc. This knowledge is mainly used for transfer and storage purpose. This knowledge is also used for teaching, learning, transferring datas, etc.

Tacit knowledge is the knowledge that got from experiences, learnings, jobs, practices, values, etc. This type of knowledge is also called as know-how knowledge. It is a personal format based. This knowledge is supported with personal knowledge and wisdom and own experiences and practices. It is mainly based on a specific context. This knowledge is difficult to extract, share and to codify. It has also dificult in the fields such as teaching, learning, and transfering datas. Tacit knowledge includes also illusions and insights.
