Structurally many of endocrine system glands and tissues are rooted in nervous system

*Proteins -pepsin is the active protein digestion enzyme of the stomach .Pepsin acts on protein molecules by breaking the peptide molecules that hold molecules .Digestion of protein is done by pancreatic enzyme trypsin ,chymotrypsin .

*Carbohydrates digestion begins in mouth .The salivary glands in the mouth secrete saliva ,which helps to moisten food .The food is then chewed while the salivaryglands also release enzyme salivary amylase ,which begins the process of breaking down the polysaccharides in carbohydrate food

*lipid digestion is a complex process .They involve soluble enzyme substrates with different degree of solubility and occur primarily in stomach and small intestine

Enzymes involved in triacylglycerol digestion are called lipids
