The following are the major health challenges that our
generation could be impacted with aging -
- More people are falling under obesity category in our
generation which is a big risk factor for a number of health
problems. Even the costing of treatment for these people are higher
than normal people.
- It is projected that by 2050, more than 1.5 billion people will
be falling under the age interval of above 65 which will relatively
increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer in these
population.
- With such a big number of older populations, more cases of fall
will occur as one third of the population of this category already
suffers from this problem and this situation would be a big problem
for the healthcare system across the world as it will decrease
mobility and increase dependency of patient.
- With aging population, more cases of long-term treatment
disease like cancer will hit the healthcare system.
- With such a huge increase in the number of chronic disease and
other patients, our healthcare system could fall short of
resources.
- There could be a significant shortage of the total healthcare
workforce.
