* Interprofessional relationship - In the course and career, interprofessional relationship played an important role. While working as healthcare professional ( as a doctor), always I have to work with other departments like nursing or housekeeping department. While dealing with patientcare, the way doctor's role is important, the role of nursing staff, housekeeping is also important. Nursing staff will ensure timely medications to be delivered to patient and housekeeping staff will ensure proper cleanliness in the hospital,ward premises. In all, every one contributes to patient welfare and treatment. I always try to be cordial with nursing staff and housekeeping team so that all the functions happen smoothly. While some conflicts are part of any interprofessional relationship, I always have focus upon conflict resolution and path ahead for patient's welfare. That way, I ensure that every one works towards common goal of patient welfare and treatment.

* Learnings while working with others to reach common goal -

- Smooth and cordial relationship with all stakeholders is necessary while working with others to reach a common goal or objective.

- It is always necessary to hear point of view of others while working. One should not ignore opinions or suggestions shared by others.

- One should give sense of participation to all.

- Always take any decision on the basis of common consensus.

- Every effort should be in the direction of reaching goal. Instead of individual opinion, go with combined opinion.

* Example from healthcare field or related healthcare field -

- While building new ward in my hospital, I took opinion of my nursing staff and housekeeping staff. They shared their experiences of earlier premises where due to smaller space they had to face difficulties. These were actual experiences which helped me plan new construction of ward ,keepin k in mind the requirements of my staff. The final plan was approved with everyone's approval and when the new ward was built ,both my nursing staff and housekeeping staff were happy along with me. Every one worked for common goal of new ward which was compliant to patientcare needs.

- Another example is from healthcare related field -

While working in the hospital , I happened to work as an advisory Consultant for one of the Pharmaceutical organization. They were planning a clinical study. As per guidelines, patient safey is prime important in any trial along with drug efficacy. Hence,I suggested an exclusion protocol of excluding patients above age group of 65, pregnant females. The organisation team also agreed to the same. Every stakeholder for the project was committed for patient safety and efficacy of the drug and decision was taken for achieving this common goal. Here both interprofessional relationship and common consensus building approach worked to reach a common goal .
