1.Differentiate between theory, models and frameworks:
A theory is a set of statements that arrives through a process of continuing abstractions. Theory can be the basis for the creating a model.
Models can be a physical picture or representation of the theory. Models can be the structure for step by step formulation of the theory.While framework are descriptive, models are prescriptive and specific.
Framework is the guide used to approach research. A framework is more descriptive showing relevent concepts and how they relate to each other.
2. Review common conceptual models and theories used in nursing research:
Conceptual models and theories help us to think, give meaning and direction to nursing research.
Neumans system models is a common nursing theory formulated by Betty Neuman which emphasis individuals relationship to stress and its reaction.The model consist of a central core of energy resources which are surrounded by many lines of resistence, the normal line of defense and the flexible line of defense.
3. Compare and contrast theoretical and conceptual framework
Conceptual framework consist of concepts that are placed within a logical design. It is based on specific concepts and propositions. It helps in the development of theory that is useful for practise.
The theoritical framework guides individuals in research also determining what thing we measure and the statistical relationship an individual look for. It consists of theories that are interrelated.
