1. Set 3 (three) outcomes against which you could measure the cultural safety strategies for Aboriginal and Torres Islander.

3. What method would you use to review and measure outcomes of the cultural safety strategies you implemented for the information session?
4. Outline 2 (two) strategies in involving the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in your evaluations. Whom would you involve in these evaluations?
Question 1) The three outcome for measuring the cultural safety strategies are
a) questions involving environmental safety
b) questions involving the protection of their identity
c) questions involving the spiritual beliefs, emotional support and etc
by asking a set of questionnaire to the patients. The questions can contain many probes which help you to get the needful information. For example you can frame the questions involving the clinical practice of the hospital, the procedures done to the respective patients and involving the trust they had on the health care professionals.
2) The review must be made at the Time of discharge or post discharge. This can be helpful to gather more related information. If you want you can select different groups even from the community.
3) The outcome should meet the criteria which we have already assigned. The answers given by the participants can be used to assess the safety strategies. You can use quantitative and qualitative methods which is suitable for your outcome. An outcome is what we expect to happen.
4) the first strategy is conducting survey among the people randomly ( make sure that the sample size is bigger and covering different areas) secondly you can conduct a local skit in various areas by gathering the people nearby and assess the people individually by a set of questionnaire. The evaluation of the questionnaire will help you come to the conclusion. The person who is having a good knowledge regarding the cultural safety strategies can be involved in evaluation. For asking the questions and for survey, people who have good communication skills and who can develop a good rapport with people with a little outline regarding the cultural safety can be involved.
