What processes does supply-chain management encompass?
There are five basic processes
1.Plan
The first stage is ste for planning a strategy to understand and address how the products and servies will meet the cutomers demands. A good strategy is which yeilds maximu profits
2.Develop
Developing or sourcing is the process of builing strong relationships with the fimrs that supply raw materials that is used for production. Suppliers need to be dependable in terms of quality and consistency. This helps managers to construct costs and ultimately help to construct the pricing
3.Manufacturing
This process entails things like product design, production, product testing , pacaking and delivery. These tasks need to be scheduled for timely delivery. This is where the quality levels can be tested and how consistetly production takes place.
4. Delivery
This is when the oods are delivered to the customer. The customer maybe a business or the final consumer of the product or service. Logistics is the dominant factor, where oeder acceptance and delivery of goods are planned. It is at this stage that the producer is linked to the customer .
5. Returns
This is the fial stage. This is where goods wich do not meet the customers expectatios are returned back, dealing with customer queries and greivances are taken care of.
