the assumption seems to be that workers are lazy, duplicitous
shirkers, and that the managers job is to make sure that they don't
"goof off".
As an aspiring manager, do you buy into that view of labor?
Imagine that I am interviewing you for a management job and I asked
you to share your views on worker motivation and how it should be
managed. What would you tell me?
the given statement is false because there can be different type of workers where some workers might be lazy and some workers mythri aspiring and therefore when you follow the theory X and theory Y you can understand the different group of workers and as a manager I would be assigned to that view.
The mean motivation that I would be taking is the recognition that one worker gets in the organisation and this could be a motivating factor and this is actually in line with that of Herzberg two factor theory of motivation as there are hygiene factors as well as motivating factors that can enable the worker to work more and bring and benefit to the organisation
