The similarities between the two Leadership theories are:

  • Both the theories emphasis on Leadership to be motivating and sharing
    • Kouzes and Planer's leadership theory emphasis on the Leader to be the source of inspiration and motivation to the followers.Leaders should be able to envision the future goals and accommodate the followers by sharing their tasks by persuasion and motivation.
    • The transformational leadership theory also emphasis similarly on this quality of leadership.A leader should be able to communicate with optimism about the future goals and provide meaning for the tasks.Making purpose and goals clear helps the followers to be enlisted in the vision for the future.Thus,they share the goals and purposes to achieved.
