Expert Solution

Homeostasis is a process in which body tends to maintain a constant/ preferable conditions inside when the body is being subjected to any change. This make sure that the body is functioning properly while disease is a condition in which a person fall ill and is being treated according to the region which is effected either by microorganisms, external or internal complexity. Acute disease is a disease which last for a very small period of time and can be easily cured while on the other hand a chronic disease is considered to be deadly as it is due to prolonged illness and it lasts for a very long period of time. Examples of chronic diseases are cardiovascular disease, asthma, tuberculosis while acute diseases are fever , cough, flu etc.No, all diseases cannot be cured. This is because there is still so many diseases in our world that are not completely curable. This is because we cannot possibly kill the source from where the disease arises. For example- Alzheimer, Parkinson , leukemia etc. These diseases are not yet completely curable and are the major problem causing diseases in our world. The departure from the homeostasis is an important observation because when the body physiology works differently than the usual metabolism, it causes many health issues. Like in Amy's condition, her blood glucose remains higher than the normal blood glucose level and this indicates that she is suffering from hyperglycemia. Her condition could be even worse if she might suffers from diabetes. So change in homeostasis is always an important observation.
