What are the differences between acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)? For each type of leukemia, explain how it originates and the key signs and symptoms.
Question : Differences between Acute lymphoblastic leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia .
Answer: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia : It is a cancer of lymphoid line of Blood cells . Development of large numbers of immature lymphocytes .
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia : It is a type of cancer in which bone marrow makes too many lymphocytes.
HOW IT ORIGINATES :
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) : Normal lymphoblast develop into mature infection-fighting B-cells or T-cells . In acute lymphoblastic leukemia it is a defect in normal development of some lymphocytes and control over the number of lymphoid cells .
ALL emerges when a single lymphoblast gains many mutations to genes that affect blood cells development and proliferation .
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL) : originates by multiple genetic mutations and epigenetic changes .
Exposer to agent orange increases the risk of chronic lymphocytic leukemia .
SIGN AND SYMPTOMS :
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia : feeling tired , pale colour, fever , easy bleeding , bone pain , enlarge lymph node , Anemia , Dizziness .
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia : Non-painful lymph node swelling , feeling tired , fever, weight loss.
