According to Max Weber the satisfaction and the social class in earlier times was more complicated than now. He said that the social class were based on single person’s market status which basically is equivalent to the amount of money or wealth which they have and bargaining power to get it too. Describing inequality in terms of socioeconomic status meant that according to the variety of person’s market status or status in the society can describe or declare the equality or inequality in the society.
Weber’s three dimensions of social inequality includes power of the person, social standing and status. He thought that social inequality consists of one class of society having power, prestige, social standing and status while many other classes of society having nothing to make their goodwill in the society. This by itself proves inequality in the society. Some people criticised his theory but some appreciated them well. Some critics said that things are not limited to these characteristics when it comes to differentiate between the upper and lower class of society and some said that these things are not enough to prove the subject matter. While some of them agreed with the views of Weber.
