While looking or taking care of a patient, there are many concerns or risks involved that the health care professionals need to know about, informing the right and wrong doings for the patients (called ethics). Such ethics create conflicts between the duty and the emotions, for an example: - as one healthcare professional have to keep in mind one's respect and privacy of the patient. For that he/she can't reveal his information to anyone except as allowed. On the other side, if any of his family member wants to help him but the resident has refused to share his information, thereby probably harming himself by not getting g the help.

Another such example in such case can be like if a healthcare professional is subjected to not to give any fatty food to his patient with heart ailment, but the patient's desire is to eat such kind of food., thereby rising a conflict

One more such conflict can come when a patient has an advance directive and the nurse does not resuscitate him while he stops breathing as to respect his right of making choices. But his family says that this should not be done as the patient may feel that he/she want to die.

Such examples show the areas of conflict between the sense of duty and the negative results of the act.
