* What is sentenial event ?

- is a event which lead to sudden death of patient due to medical error or unexpected sucidal or accidental death or any major loss of physiologic , psycologic function .

Here we will discuss the accidental sanitenial event .

* Background information of patient wirh sanitaniel event

- Age : Patient age is of 35 year old with medical history of diabetes , patient is on insulin therapy for diabetes .

- Admitting diagnosis - Patient has met with sudden occurence of accident while travelling for personal requirement . Patients limb caught in accident and injury to some parts of body as well .

Blood pressure and other vital signs were seems normal . But he was diabetic and was on insulin therapy .

* Cause of senteniel event .

Now , patinet had to go for surgical procedure for fracture in lower limb which was almost complicated fracture including all the surfaces of lower limb bones and as he was diabeted the lesion was getting more worse .Due to uncontrollable diabetes and complex fracture medical staff tried to save the limb but unfortunately he has to end up with physical deformity that is amputation of lower limb due to major accident cause .

* Preventable measure related to this event.

- preventable measure could have been included the safe travelling strategy . Routine check up for diabetic condition. Proper full supplementary life style chnages to control the diabetes including diet and exercise .

- Rieview of 5 rights of medication : patient should take the prescribed medicine on right time with right dose , right drug with right route on right patient .

Here patient was irregular to the time with irregular diet follow . That all was causing the diabetes more to acquire the worse condition .

* What did you learn from the article

I learnt from the article that if some patient or person is suffering from any medical history they should not avoid their care and should follow the proper plan to rescue that condition . So that if some accidental event occur atleast can able to save life and able to live longer .
