Answer: Relative risk is a measure of association used by epidemiologist to identify suspected risk factors. The relative risk shows the comparison between the affected groups to the group that is prone to develop the disease. It provide platform for the epidemiologist to find out the relation between the both. So, the people who are at major risk could be associated to the people who are already having the disease or the infection. This also enablea to attain the association about the people who are at major risk due to various reasons and conditions. For example, a smoker is at risk of developing lung cancer but the suspect risk could be the passive smoking of the colleagues. They are also at risk of developing chronic lung diseases.
