The novel coronavirus disease 2019 first struck the worlds most wealthiest countries as a result of their interconnectedness, trade and tourism. It started from China and spread to the USA and then to Europe and the east coast of the US.
Challenges regarding COVID-19 pandemic are as follows:
Physical distancing: people shall be attentive and make enough distances as per the guidelines of the WHO so that the transmission of disease shall be prevented and a leaser number of people will be affected with the virus. It becomes difficult in a stuffy or crowded place where it's difficult to maintain distance.
Use of face masks: all the pandemic struck countries are making sure that all the citizens shall wear masks while moving outside the house, as the transmission is possible by air also. Wearing a mask all the time is becoming challenging for many people as people with breathing problems suffer loss of breath.
Hand washing: while coming back home everyone should wash their hands and everyone should wash their hands in quici intervals for better sanitation and protection.
Stay at home and work from home: many governments are telling the citizens to not to step out if not necessary, as more number of people moving out, more shall be the risk of their being affected by the virus. Many organisations are opting for work from home to secure the spread of viruses.
School closures: the countries which are mostly affected by the virus have their schools closed for protecting children from the spread and to prevent physical contact.
Economic lockdowns: many countries have declared lockdowns where no one shall move outside their houses, work from home(if necessary) and all the production units, offices, organisations shall remain closed.
Effect of COVID-19 on the following:
Health care systems and markets: the health care system has been greatly affected by the virus because when all the industries and departments were locked the healthcare system was constantly open with its services to treat more number of patients suffering from the virus. The production of medicines was not stopped and the pharmaceutical market did well.
Health care insurance: more number of people are opting for health care insurances for the security of their lives and families by experiencing the current situations.
Healthcare employees: the healthcare employees are continuously at work for treating people. As per the situation many economies are finding it difficult with less number of healthcare employees.
Healthcare facilities: in the developed economy or the economies with good healthcare facilities people are not finding it much difficult as the quality of the facilities are good. Whereas, in the developing countries or the countries with poor quality of health facilities, people find it difficult to survive.
