Components of clinical assessment

  • Clinical interview - Clinical interview has great importance because from this interview the basic knowledge of the current status of patient's health can be determined
  • Behavioral assessment - From this component doctor can determine the mental status of the patient and that can help in prognosis
  • Checklist for example CBCL and it is used in research and child practice with youths.
  • Psychological test that helps to take different data by doing different tests like IQ test, development test, personality test and projective tests
