Personality:

  • The personality of a person and its suitability to the profile is important to succeed in any given position.
  • An HRD role requires a lot of organizing skills to sr goals and achieve them with the help of employees.
  • They should give employees motivation and support to grow and better themselves when they see potential.
  • They should have an optimistic nature and enthusiasm which make become excellent leaders.

Ability:

  • Communication ability is most important ability for an HRD. Any information or decision is perceived on the basis of how it's conveyed, so it is must to have good communication abilities with employees as well as top-level officials.
  • In this generation multitasking is something which can be avoided.
  • Each role comes with several responsibilities where you have to multitask, so multitasking abilities are something which would help.
  • Mental ability to sustain stress and resolve the conflicts in the workplace.

Situational:

  • Same human being can behave differently in different situations. The actions and reactions depend on the situations.
  • HRD should be spontaneous in the situation to analyze it and take a proper decision.
  • They face several situations where many aspects are to be considered and then an action should be implemented on it.

Judgment:

  • Placing right people in a right role is the responsibility of a human resources person. This needs good judgment skills to decide where a person is suitable for a role.
  • Some situations arise where you need to judge whether to take an action or take somebody's help or negotiate, in these situations HRD needs to judge properly.

Integrity:

  • Moral and ethical principles are very important at work to emphasize on a good values system at work.
  • Following all the rules and regulations of the company and being fair to the employees as well as management ensures integrity.

Structured Interviews:

  • Taking a structured interview is a task itself as it a measure to measure the abilities of the employee in an interview.
  • Having the skill to take a structured interview helps to come out with the right decision.
