what is the Human impact on environment? 100 word minimum
Unprecedental increase in the human population has devasted the environment. Increasing human population has made the human beings to convert the agricultural land into the residential land, thus, for this trees are cut as a result deforestation has taken place. We know that trees consume the CO2 of the atmosphere to carry on photosynthesis and in this reaction oxygen is produced as a by-product. Thus, absence of trees has increased CO2 concentration of the atmosphere because of which green house effect is seen. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, also decides its infra-red radiations. Increased CO2 causes I-radiations to stay back on the earth's surface, that are otherwise reflected, this staying back of the I-radiations causes global warming. Increased deforestation reduces the binding ability of the soil, as a result when heavy rain comes the top soil gets washed away from one place to another, leading to soil erosion. This soil erosion is also related to the occurrence of the floods. Increased population has also damaged the environment by various types of the pollution, these pollutants are harming us too, but we can hardly escape from this.
From the above text, we can conclude that human has devastated the environment to a large extent, but hardly any measures are taken by us or by the government to control these.
