I strongly agree with the statement given in the text. The marketing to kids is a strongly criticised by me as I consider it to be unethical and therefore must be stopped. In today’s society, the food industry is faced with facing an ethical dilemma because manufacturers, companies, and retailers are far more concerned with earning higher profits rather than providing safe, good, and healthy meals for the children. In this unethical scheme in marketing the biggest victims are aspects of children’s lives. The children are the most influenced and least informed of all potential consumers. Majority of the kid's meal offers such as toys in kids meals are for the unhealthy food products like fast food, cereals, snacks, and soft drinks. The toys in kid’s meals attract kids with the fun characters, or may just force their parents to buy them as they just want the toy. These marketing strategies directly influence the food preference of the kid's and gear them toward the unhealthy food habits
