my biggest area of interest has always been science. Weather it be looking at slides under a microscope or mixing chemicals to see reactions, I have always found science to be fascinating. I like to see how and why things work starting from the small things like cells to the larger things like planets. My biggest love when it comes to science is animals, they are all so different in behavior and how they work and the things they do. I enjoy being around many different types of animals and finding out as much as i can about them. I could watch discovery channel videos for hours.

I started out high school very shy. As time has gone by I have become more involved and more of a leader. I originally joined my school band at the request of my friends. It has really help me come out of shell. I am in my third year in band now and am in the schools symphonic band. I am also our band historian. Historian does not only take pictures, I also help set up for our concerts, keep the calendar or work at a fundraiser. I may not be my class president or anything but I still do my part in being a leader in school.

One of the bigger challanges in my life has been living in a single parent home. It doesn't sound that complicated but when there are 5 kids in your family it really can be. My mom has always taught me that even though we didn't have it that great there are many people who have it a lot worse. We weren't the richest family but we always managed to be good enough to pay our bills and everything. As all of us kids got older we could help out more so it got a lot better and we could get simple summer jobs to help pay for our own things.

I had a friend who was fired from a job where he worked with me because of something personal. It in no way affected his job and it was nothing bad. I found it not fair to fire him for that, he still did a great job at work. I guess that that helped me learn the whole "don't judge a book by its cover." You shouldn't judge someone based on a stereotype, you should give everyone a chance and get to know them a little before you form an opinion about them.
