The job description of a summer conference staff is to provide a comfort care and excellent service to the guest. At this point, I take it as my responsibility to be on account of housing, food, arranging meetings with the guest and to provide the client with a high-end customer service.
I have worked in a hospital sector before, which I believe gave me an upper hand in customer service. This helped me to understand the service sector much better, which in turn is helping me in delivering good quality services.
Healthcare, especially nursing is a field where the professional nurse needs a lot of patience in them. Everybody is different and a nurse is accustomed to handling any kind of individual or situation. This quality helped me in fit into as a summer conference staff. The main focus of a summer conference staff is to provide the guest with necessities and offer them a comfortable stay with the most quality services.
I had also worked in the hotel industry for 1 year before joining nursing and had a plenty of experience handling a "difficult client". I was working in the customer service department, thus gained a vast knowledge about different kind of people. That’s what I was looking for about when I got a chance to work with summer conference staff.
I believe this was my best quality to think about working as a summer conference staff
Knowledge of computer is mandatory in order to work as conference staff. I have attended short-term computer classes and also hold a certification of completion in behalf of it.
Other criteria, I believed favoured me are, being a full-time registered student made me Eligible to work for the University. Also, I hold a conduct certificate and a record, free from any following past or present legal ties.
Being able to work with the various organizations like hospital and hotel sector, helped me to grow independently and to hold a professional demeanour also giving me the confidence to work under any pressure
