We can't deny the importance of text in current scenerio where most of the works are depended on text whether its personal, or commercial. We are the part of the digital communication era where text messegime keeping everyone connected on the fly. But, these are the some points mentioned below which prove that texting has become a barrier to hearing and listening:

- Lack of Participation- Texting allows a person to explain his/her point of view while it doesn't allow the other participants to be participated actively at a time.

- Missing Body Language- Body language is the soul of the communication as it gives the feeling and sense during the communication, while texting has no scope to see the facial expressions or voice tone or body language of the sender.

- Lack of Emotional Content- Every communication has some level of emotional appeal, but texting has no scope for emotional appeal. Texting has lack of emotional content as compare to face to face interaction.

- More chances of conflict and misunderstanding- Texting is the point of view of a person and it has lack of scope for the other participants. So there is a chance of conflict and misunderstanding in texting.
