What is Executive Order 9066 that FDR issued? What dangers were government officials worried about when they implemented Executive Order 9066?
Executive order 9066 was an order which was issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It came into existence in the year 1942. It was related with relocation of Japanese. This order was issued during the era of World War II.
Any person who was considered as the threat for national security was forced to relocate in other parts of country. Military areas were provided main concerns in this regard. Many people with Japanese connection were forced to relocate from their original place of living.
President Roosevelt issued this order because Japan was fighting against the USA in second world war. There was a fear that American people with Japanese connection may go towards the Japan and they may help Japanese troops which may harm the progress of USA in this world war.
So, various internment camps were constructed for keeping such people in those camps. Those camps were overcrowded and poor facilities were available there. These were the reasons that many people considered those camps as inappropriate.
